The publication index is a browsable, dynamically updated archive of all article citations for articles from your research unit. This page organizes all new publications by the month and year of their publication, based on the best available article metadata when we first ingest the article.
The goal of this feature is to automate the task of cataloguing publications for reports or other administrative purposes.
The publication index uses the same citation format as the newsletter. If your newsletter uses an inclusion criteria, the index will only include relevant/matching publications.
The publication index is compiled whenever your newsletter is successfully sent. This means that if one of your researchers adds an article to their ORCID profile that they forgot about last month, it will still be added to the correct month of publication in the index.
Furthermore, the publication index cross-references the newsletter itself, giving you and your readers another way to browse the research. In the index, you will see subtle navigation iconography accompanying each citation:
⛾ links to the newsletter issue featuring the article
※ links to the full page summary of the article
→ links directly to the article’s DOI
These embedded links make the publication index explorable. The index is not only a structured list of citations, it is also a creative way to retroactively browse the research activity of your research unit.
We hope you find the publication index to be a valuable, time-saving feature, especially if your role involves publication reporting responsibilities.
