Over the past year, your feedback as beta testers has been invaluable. You have shaped how we think about the platform and what it needs to become. In response, we've been quietly rebuilding the platform from the ground up. The result is Collate: a full-scale rewrite of research※mesh designed to address the things you've told us matter most.
In the coming weeks, we'll be transitioning from research※mesh to Collate. Here's a preview of what's changing:
— A redesigned admin interface that makes it significantly easier to edit and manage your newsletter
— Editorial Mode, giving you the choice between fully automated (Autopilot) or admin-verified (Manual) workflows
— The ability to edit and customize queued content before it goes out
— Full language translation support — set your language in settings and all future content is translated, run parallel newsletters in different languages
— Custom newsletter headers, with options for image- or text-based layouts
— Granular control over AI-generated images and podcast generation
— An AI disclosure toggle for institutions that require it
— Auto-adjusted colours for improved WCAG 2.1 AA compliance
— A sender name that reflects your unit — no more "DoNotReply"
— Upgraded cloud infrastructure for better speed and stability
— Improved account recovery, security, and onboarding
One practical note: the rename and rebrand to Collate will change permalinks (e.g., subscription and newsletter URLs). If you have any downstream dependencies on current research※mesh URLs, please reach out so we can plan the transition together.
As always, if you have questions or want to discuss any of this, just contact us at info@researchmesh.com. We are really excited to share this massive update with you soon.
