Welcome to this month's issue of Spinal Columns. How patient recovery is measured after surgery and how specific exercise programs are put into practice are two areas of ongoing study. This edition presents work from Alison Rushton that examines the association between physical measures of functioning, including spinopelvic alignment, and patient-reported outcomes after total hip arthroplasty. We also look at a study from Christina Ziebart detailing the implementation of a small group physiotherapy program for people at risk of falls with compromised bone mineral density, which recorded both participant feedback and physical results.
